Cadet WO2 Satkaran Dhillon
170 St. James RCACS

Cadet WO2 Satkaran Dhillon, 170 St James Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, will attend the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg beginning in September 2013 where he will major in Athletic Therapy. He has been a cadet for six years and has attended camp every summer. He was the top cadet for the Basic Survival and Basic Fitness Courses. He has been awarded both the Lord Strathcona and the Long Service Medals. He is a member of his school's Youth in Philanthropy program and has travelled to the Dominican Republic with his school where he volunteered at the Hope of a Child Orphanage and taught English at local schools. Within his unit, he leads with confidence, sets a high standard, and inspires the junior cadets he instructs. He attended a three week Physical Education and Recreation Training Course and a six week Instructor Course, achieving excellent ratings in both. He played varsity soccer for his school, as well as for a men's team, and is a middle and long distance runner.
