Cadet CPO1 Taylor McNulty, 350 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Transcona, attended the University of Winnipeg in 2012 but will enrol in the University of Manitoba Faculty of Social Work beginning in September 2013. She plans to work as a counsellor for families and children with disabilities. Taylor has attended several camps, including Mont St. Sacrement, HMCS ONTARIO and HMCS QUADRA to study music and was awarded both the Lord Strathcona Medal and the Seize the Day Award. Her citizenship activities include volunteering with the Christmas Cheer Board, volunteering at a children's home in Bolivia and fund raising. She continues to develop her leadership skills by instructing weekly classes and helps to organize training weekends for other cadets. One activity that she particularly enjoys is conducting musical rehearsals for young cadets. She is physically fit and has participated in Irish dancing since she was seven years old. She participated in the Colour Me Rad five kilometer run.
