Cadet WO2 deLaroque plans to continue his education in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at the University of Manitoba while continuing to train for a commercial pilot license. He is planning for a career as a pilot with a major airline.

He has attended summer training camps for the past five years. During that time he has completed training in areas such as basic and advanced aviation, airport operations, glider and pilot courses. During the summer of 2014 he travelled to the United Kingdom on an exchange program. He has had several opportunities to instruct newer cadets and has been enriched as a result of the experience.

He has been the student council president at his high school and participated in fundraising for cancer. He has also done fundraising for a program that assists poverty stricken families around the world.

He enjoys golfing and camping during the summer. His winter sports include curling and the biathlon.
