Cadet CPO1 Zachary Raymond Berry

Cadet CPO1 Berry graduated with honours from St. Boniface Diocesan High School in June 2015. He will attend the University of Manitoba Faculty of Science where he will major in Genetics. He aspires to become a genetic counselor.

As a cadet he attended Basic Sports and Fitness, Basic Seamanship, Ship's Operator and Boatswain's Mate training courses. His community volunteer activities include work with the Autism Society of Manitoba, Special Olympics, the Winnipeg Police Service and the Royal Canadian Legion. His major volunteer experience was with the United Way of Winnipeg where he served on the Youth Leadership Committee for three years.

Within his cadet unit, CPO1 Berry has used his leadership skills as the Divisional Petty Officer of the band, Chief of Training and Coxswain.

He has been active in school intramurals and holds the school record for the fastest 500 metre rowing.
