2015 The Honorary Colonels' Army Cadet Scholarship Award Recipient

Cadet CWO David Wall
2295 Royal Winnipeg Rifles, RCACC

Cadet CWO Wall graduated from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute in lune 2015. He is currently a first year student at the University of Manitoba. He has not made a decision about his major, but he is considering one of the sciences, which were his strengths in high school.

He has attended Rocky Mountain National Army Cadet Summer Training Camp. He has also participated in cadet training in the United Kingdom. Two of the highlights of his cadet training are the nine-day dog sledding trip in Ontario's Algonquin Park and the biathlon.

He has volunteered with the local Legion Branch in Timmons, Ontario when he lived in that community. His school required a minimum of forty hours of volunteering as part of their program. He had completed sixty hours before he finished grade nine.

He enjoys supervising junior cadets and acknowledges that it took some time to become acquainted with the different styles of leadership required in a larger unit.

He has participated in biathlon, orienteering, hockey and football and won the A.R. Romanow Award for Athletics.
