She joined Air Cadets in 2017 and quickly progressed to level 2 and subsequently received the Award of Top Recruit and Top Marksman. She has taken Basic Survival Training and has been a member of her Squadron’s Drill Team and a devoted member of the biathlon and marksmanship programs, competing in provincial level competitions for both. She was the Squadron’s Official Cadet Correspondent for the past three years and an instructor for all levels. She was accepted into the Aircraft Maintenance National summer training course. Other awards include - Top Junior NCO, the Sponsoring Committee Participation Award, Bronze Level Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Lord Strathcona Medal. She will receive her Air Cadet Service Medal and aspires to be her Squadron’s WO1 and focus on providing leadership to her squadron to ensure they thrive.
In her community she has participated annually at Remembrance Day Ceremonies. She has also participated in community cleanups, fundraising for her Squadron’s Sponsoring Committee and was a Volunteer Coach for the Girls Rugby Program. In school she was involved in collecting supplies for Siloam Mission and helped in the Festival Théâtre Jeunesse program run by her grade 12 peers.
In grade 10 she joined her high school rugby team, becoming a member of the Rugby community in Manitoba. She then joined the Wasps women's rugby club and this year joined the provincial U18 Rugby Sevens Team, and aspires to compete with them in the Canada Games this Summer. She runs on her own time and this helped her to participate at the provincial level for both biathlon and marksmanship.
