Cadet CPO2 Fiona Huynh will be attending the University of Manitoba this Fall with the Faculty of Kinesiology to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and will continue to serve with her Cadet Corps, hopefully as Coxswain.

In Cadets she has achieved the Level 4 Range Badge, Level 3 Communications, CanSail 4 SCOP 1 - 4, LCdr Lyla Bilton Proficiency Award, Cadet of the Year (2023-24), Sail instructor and received the Lord Strathcona Medal and the Navy League's Medal of Excellence Award. She has been a Company Commander, the Stores PO, a Yeoman, Chief of Training, Sail Staff, and the Mess Secretary.

She is intimately involved with volleyball, referring many games leading to a mentorship with referees at the U of M and has coached the next generation of volleyball players. She volunteers with Volleyball Manitoba coaching community volleyball and volunteered with the Usports Volleyball Nationals. She has also volunteered with poppy sales, School Remembrance Days, and the Santa Claus Parade. Her school is a UNESCO school where she will earn a UNESCO Diploma and her group is organizing a toy drive for The Children's Hospital.

As a leader she likes to focus on what makes the Cadet Corps a better place for the Cadets, a fun, welcoming place.

She is an active person who loves all sorts of sports. She has maintained her excellence fitness level in Cadets and has played volleyball in many tournaments and levels.
