Cadet WO2 Isabelle Ladroma will pursue a Bachelor of Commerce at the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba, with the long-term ambition of becoming a lawyer. Through this education she aims to gain the knowledge, connections, and experience to promote fairness, support marginalized communities, and contribute to Canada's legal and political landscape.
In Air Cadets, she took on various roles and challenges. She has completed General Training, Basic Survival, Survival Instructor Course, and served as Drill and Ceremonial Sergeant in Vernon, BC. She received Northwestern Region Cadets Support Challenge Coin, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Challenge Coin, earned the Marksman Badge and the Bronze Physical Fitness Badge, and was presented the Lord Strathcona Medal.
She was Vice President of St. Maurice's student council, a Junior Mentor at the University of Manitoba's CanU program, volunteered twice a week at Golden Door Geriatric Nursing Home, was selected as a Canadian Blood/Stem Cell Drive Ambassador, assisted in the Manitoba Marathon and was a four-year Social Justice Committee member and altar server for her school's masses.
She played varsity basketball, varsity volleyball, soccer, varsity badminton, varsity bowling. She is a biathlete and a long-distance runner.
These experiences have shaped her leadership, service, and commitment to her community, values she will carry forward in her future.
